You guys did a great job for the ‘LITERATURE 2 : Symbol’ entry…..

Now, let’s learn another literary device….

Today we are going to learn about ‘CHARACTERS & CHARACTERISTICS’….

What is

 Character and Characterisrics?

• A character is the representation of a person in a narrative or dramatic work of artnovel, play, or film). (such as a

• A characteristic is a feature that helps to identify, tell apart, or describe recognizably or a distinguishing mark or trait.

• Characters also can be classified as follows:

    * Flat - a character that the reader does not relate to; knows little

    * Round - a character that "we know", we relate to.

    * Static - a character that does not change.

    * Dynamic - a character that changes

    * Protagonist - the main character

    * Antagonist - the person or force that opposes the protagonist
